SUMMER SCHOOL 2008

The fourth annual summer school is taking place on 13-15th August 2008 at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick.

The Summer School aims to provide senior officers working in the delivery of local authority education and children's services with the opportunity to meet, share practice and reflect on challenges and solutions currently facing them.

The summer School provides a unique opportunity for senior officers to work together in developing their personal and professional skills for future leadership. In particular, it will enable participants to reflect on their own thinking and practices in partnership with a group of interested colleagues who are facing similar challenges and, through this process, provide the stimulus for focussed personal reflection and service development.

SUMMER SCHOOL 2007

The third annual summer school  took place on 15-17th August 2007 at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick. The theme this year was "New Ways of Working: Putting the Child at the Centre".

22 colleagues took part in the school which was a very successful and enjoyable event. The presentations from the three guest contributors can be viewed and downloaded at the bottom of this page.

Summer School 2006

The second annual summer school of VSCS took place on 14th-16th August 2006 at The Marine Hotel, North Berwick.

The theme  was "Leadership in a Changing Environment".
