Mentoring for Directors and Heads of Service
New in post? Would you like an experienced person in an equivalent post to talk to and share ideas with?
If you do, then you need look no further than the Virtual Staff College Scotland Mentoring Project. The VSCS has established a mentoring project to support newly appointed Chief Officers in Education or Children’s Services during their first year in post. The VSCS will arrange for the mentor manager to meet you and discuss the challenges you are meeting in your new post and the support you think you need to help you. The mentor manager will then match you up with an appropriately experienced mentor who will work with you during your first year in post. The mentoring is free of charge and completely confidential.
Interested? Then look at the Mentoring Guidelines at the foot of this page or contact the mentor manager by e-mail at shelaghrae@aol.com or by phone on 07766 414 501.

The retreats were facilitated by John Christie and led by Norman Drummond. Consideration is being given to the extension of these opportunities to other ADES members in 2007. More information will be provided as soon as it is available.
