PRESS RELEASE: ASSOCIATION OF DIRECTORS OF EDUCATION IN SCOTLAND ELECTS NEW PRESIDENT The Association of Directors of Education in Scotland will now be led for the next 2 years by Scottish Borders Director of Education and Lifelong Learning, Glenn Rodger. He succeeds Leslie Manson of Orkney Council who commented, “Glenn will bring continuity and energy to the important role of leading the top managers and leaders in Scottish education, and influencing policy and strategy at a national level.” Glenn currently chairs the working group charged with implementing the Donaldson report on teacher education and is a member of the Rural Schools Commission. Glenn will be supported by the newly elected Vice President, Ken Greer Executive Director of Education for Fife Council. BRIEFING NOTE: ADES is an independent professional network for leaders and managers in education and children’s services. We inform and influence education and children’s services policy in Scotland working in partnership with local and national government and other agencies. We also offer a wide range of professional development activities and opportunities for our members.
